Nigerian Senate proposes bill for tenants to pay month-to-month rent

Spruce Adeyemi of Kogi west senatorial district has sponsored a bill to dwell landlords from irritating annual rent from tenants.

“The legislation we are proposing stipulates a maximum come rent rate of three months. After the expiration of the three months rent, the tenants are expected to pay month-to-month,” stated the senator.

Mr Adeyemi explained that the bill grew to become compulsory with landlords irritating exorbitant one-twelve months and two-twelve months come rent.

Per the senator, landlords who constructed homes from looted funds impoverish average Nigerians.
