4 individuals suspected to have been concerned within the killing of an officer of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Segun Ayebulu, in Ekiti State final week have been arrested.
It was gathered that the arrest was made potential by way of the efforts of native hunters in collaboration with different safety businesses.
Mr Ayebulu was travelling with three of his family alongside the Oke-Ako/Irele Street when he encountered the gunmen on third September.
He was stated to be on his method to his hometown in Ogbe, Yagba West Native Authorities Space of Kogi State, when the incident occurred.
The gunmen shot at his automobile and he died from bullet wounds.
They finally kidnapped different occupants of the automobiles and solely launched them after amassing N5 million as ransom.
The Chairman of Ajoni Native Council Improvement Space of Ekiti State, Micheal Ogungbemi, confirmed to journalists in Ado Ekiti on Tuesday that the suspects had been arrested by Ajoni Native Safety Community, codenamed Operation Eradicating Bandits on the Borders of Rural Ajoni Communities (EBBORAC).
He stated the native safety operatives arrested the suspects whereas patrolling the border space between Ekiti and Kwara states on Tuesday night.
“They’d confessed to have perpetrated the killing of the NSCDC operative and kidnapping of his members of the family,” Mr Ogungbemi stated.
“If not for the immediate motion I took, they might have been mobbed by offended youth.

“Recovered from them had been two AK47. Instantly after the arrest, my workplace was contacted and I immediately knowledgeable the crew from Amotekun Corps, Ikole Command, Officers of the Divisional Police Officer, Ikole LGA for quick detention, investigation, and prosecution of the culprits.
“They’re presently being detained on the police station in Ikole Ekiti.”
The Corps Commander, Ekiti State Amotekun Corps, Joe Komolafe, confirmed the arrest of the 4 suspects.
