Nigeria: Ortom Lauds President Buhari, Nationwide Council of Impart Over Pardon Granted Dariye, Nyame

Makurdi — Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue Impart has counseled President Muhammadu Buhari and the Nationwide Council of Impart for granting impart pardon to worn Governors of Plateau and Taraba States, Senator Joshua Dariye and Rev. Jolly Nyame respectively.

Dariye and Nyame were serving penal complicated terms in Kuje Correctional Centre reach Abuja following their convictions by the courts over financial malfeasance whereas serving as governors of their states between 1999 and 2007.

Ortom had whereas acting on an Arise Tv interview a fortnight previously appealed to the federal govt to overview the cases of Dariye and Nyame with a look to granting them impart pardon.

On Thursday, the Nationwide Council of States below the chairmanship of President Buhari met in Abuja, thought to be and licensed the impart pardon for Dariye, Nyame and others.

Commending President Buhari and the Nationwide Council of States for the gesture, Governor Ortom in a press free up issued weekend by his Chief Press Secretary, Nathaniel Ikyur, effectively-known that “some helpful lessons must had been learnt from the incident.”

The Governor also thanked chums, families and political buddies of the two leaders who stood by them right in the course of the period of their incarceration noting that the duo would now reunite with their families and dwell elated lives all over all some other time.
