Could 25 (UPI) — Nicki Minaj was arrested within the Netherlands on Saturday over an incident along with her baggage, in line with the rapper’s social media.
Minaj, 41, was traveling to Manchester, England, from Amsterdam for a live performance on her “Pink Friday 2 World Tour,” which is meant to happen on the Co-op Dwell Area Saturday night.
The rapper shared a video on her X account Saturday afternoon the place a person is seen telling her that her baggage must be searched.
In a separate video that Minaj recorded on Instagram Dwell after which was shared by fan accounts on X, she requested an Amsterdam police officer why she was being arrested.
The officer within the video replied, “since you’re carrying medicine.”
The rapper within the video denied carrying medicine and repeatedly demanded a lawyer when the officer instructed her to get in a automobile.
The officer might be heard mentioning her live performance on Saturday night time and saying they’d “attempt to get [her] there” as quickly as potential.
A spokesperson for the police within the Netherlands told NBC News it “arrested a 41-year-old American lady at Schiphol Airport due to possession of sentimental medicine.”
