Nigeria’s hopes of securing a fourth Africa Cup of Nations crown suffered a blow on Wednesday as influential midfielder Wilfred Ndidi was dominated out of the match.
The 27-year-old missed his crew runaway Championship leaders Leicester Metropolis’s 4-1 win over Huddersfield City on Monday as a consequence of an unspecified damage.
Group spokesman Babafemi Raji stated Ndidi has been changed by midfielder Alhassan Yusuf, who has been in good kind with Belgian champions Royal Antwerp.
Yusuf has but to be capped by Nigeria, however was named within the 40-man provisional squad for the Cup of Nations.
