After a profitable pilot section of the Insecticide Handled Nets (ITNs) mass distribution pilot marketing campaign in Bo district in November 2023, the MoH with help from WHO and different companions has initiated a nationwide rollout within the remaining 15 districts with a complete four-day coaching program for 93 Unbiased Screens from the 29 January – 1 February 2024.
The coaching classes are being collectively facilitated by WHO, CRS, ICT4D and the Nationwide Malaria Management Programme on the Household Kingdom in Freetown. The skilled screens will assess the family registration and distribution processes in communities, together with flagging of households or communities not registered, assessing consciousness ranges inside communities, and so forth.
The essential section of family registration is schedule to happen from 1 – 10 February 2024, adopted by the distribution of ITNs ranging from the 22 February 2024.
