The Nationwide Company for Prohibition of Trafficking in Individuals (NAPTIP) has rescued 29 victims of trafficking in Kebbi State.
The zonal commander accountable for Kebbi, Sokoto and Zamfara States, Misba’u Iya-Kaura, confirmed this to journalists in Birnin Kebbi on Saturday.
He mentioned the company, in collaboration with the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) and NATAL, rescued 21 victims at Kangiwa axis on their strategy to Senegal, whereas the remaining eight have been rescued in several elements of the state.
The zonal commander mentioned the victims, who have been coming from Ondo, Kano, Kaduna and Zamfara States, have been largely between 18 and 24 years outdated.
