My Authorities Will Not Tolerate Conceitedness Or Disrespect Towards The Individuals Who Elected Us – Mahama Warns Newly Sworn-In Ministers

President John Dramani Mahama has issued a stern warning to his newly sworn-in ministers, making it clear that vanity and disrespect towards Ghanaians won’t be tolerated underneath his administration. Talking on the Jubilee Home on January 22, 2025, in the course of the swearing-in ceremony of six ministerial appointees, the President emphasised that public servants should lead with humility and accountability.

“We should exhibit tolerance for his or her views and work to satisfy their aspirations. This authorities won’t tolerate vanity or disrespect for the individuals who elected us into workplace. Modesty and prudence should be the guiding ideas upon which you, myself, and our Vice President vogue our governance,” he declared.

President Mahama reminded the appointees that their authority comes from the folks and urged them to prioritize the wants and aspirations of Ghanaians. “As I identified throughout my inaugural speech, Ghanaians have, by means of their votes, declared their intention to demand the very best requirements of governance, and we can not afford to fail them,” he stated.

The President additionally confused the significance of transparency and equity of their dealings, warning that anti-corruption establishments can be empowered to research and take motion in opposition to any wrongdoing. “The folks of Ghana will maintain us accountable for the belief they’ve positioned in our fingers.
