Miss SA congratulates Chidimma: ‘See you in Mexico’

Miss SA 2024 Mia Le Roux has congratulated Chidimma Adetshina on her crowning as Miss Universe Nigeria over the weekend.

The sweetness queens – who had been buddies and fellow contestants on the native pageant – will meet once more on the Miss Universe finale in November.

Simply three weeks in the past, Chidimma – whose father is Nigerian and mom is Mozambican – stepped down from Miss SA pending an investigation by the Division of Residence Affairs (DHA) into doable identification fraud. Days later, she accepted an invite to take part within the Nigerian pageant.

Her win has since sparked controversy amongst Nigerians.

On her Instagram Story, Miss SA Mia Le Roux despatched a particular shout-out to Chidimma Adetshina.

In current weeks, Mia has defended Chidimma towards critics amid a DHA investigation.

Chatting with Newzroom Afrika, Mia claimed that Chidimma didn’t need to obtain the hate on social media.

She mentioned: “It was extraordinarily onerous for us as a result of every one among us personally is aware of and loves Chichi. We actually consider that she didn’t deserve it, as we all know she’s phenomenal, highly effective, and delightful in her personal proper. She deserved her spot on Miss South Africa.
