Ms. Kamath has established herself as a prominent figure in the business and civic communities, leveraging her extensive experience and education to make significant contributions. Her role involves advising various organizations, including nonprofit entities, to help them grow and succeed. Additionally, she has been involved with the franchise industry since 2016.

Prior to her current endeavors, Ms. Kamath served within the Barclays Investment Bank in the office of the Chief Operating Officer of Americas at Barclays Bank New York City. Prior to Barclays, she served at Citigroup Inc., where she was Vice President. During her tenure at Citibank, she worked on the business side focusing on client management, product and program management and front office sales on the trading floor. Her transition into entrepreneurship was driven by regulatory changes in the banking sector that prompted her to start her own printing franchise.

Ms. Kamath’s academic background laid a strong foundation for her achievements in consulting and business. She earned a Master’s degree in Library and Information Sciences from Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey and a Bachelor’s degree in Instrument Technology from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi. Her education was meaningfully influenced by her parents; her mother emphasized the importance of education while her father focused on personality growth and development.

In addition to her academic credentials, Ms. Kamath holds multiple certificates that expand her knowledge and qualifications. She is certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP) by the Project Management Institute and as a Food Protection Manager (CFPM) by the ANSI National Accreditation Board (ANAB).

Also known for significant contributions to causes that bring people together and empower women, Ms. Kamath serves as a founding director of the World Food Movement. She was appointed by New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy to serve as a Commissioner on the New Jersey-India Commission in 2024. She has been also appointed since 2022 to serve as a member to the Employee Residency Review Committee (NJ First Act) within the NJ Department of Labor. Her civic leadership extends to roles such as board member of Middlesex County Board of Social Services and she was elected as a township committee person for Edison Township. She is also the president of the Middlesex County Chapter of Women’s Political Caucus of New Jersey and the Executive Director of Inspiring South Asian American Women-ISAAW which empowers and mobilizes South Asian American Women for civic engagement. She is also a current board member for Emerge NJ, and Elect Women – NJ both of which are organizations promoting women in politics.

Ms. Kamath’s remarkable career has been recognized through several accolades, including the Rising Star Entrepreneurial Award from the New Jersey Immigrant Entrepreneur Awards in 2018 — which significantly boosted her self-confidence — and Top Achievement in Marketing from Minuteman Press International in 2017. Additionally, she received the Citi Velocity Cup from Citigroup in 2011 and was spotlighted during Immigrant Heritage Month by New Jersey Senator Bob Menendez in 2020.

Committed to passing along the life lessons and values she received from her parents, Ms. Kamath enjoys teaching the culture and value education to children aged 10 to 14 through the India Heritage Foundation NJ-NY. She is also focused on expanding Business Karma internationally while raising funds for nonprofit work aimed at feeding the hungry individuals beyond New Jersey. Her passion for supporting women affected by domestic violence continues to resonate within the community as she seeks to empower them with knowledge about their options and dynamics of abuse, cementing her legacy of making a meaningful impact in all aspects of her life.
