Many useless after crash of Ugandan military helicopter in DRC

A Ugandan military spokesman confirmed Wednesday the crash of one of many nation’s army helicopters in jap Congo.

The spokesman, Felix Kulayigye, informed The Related Press “we’re nonetheless ready” for extra particulars in regards to the crash earlier this week.

An unamed Congo military spokesman who spoke to Reuters company on Wednesday stated “at the least 22 individuals have been killed”.

Uganda late final 12 months deployed forces in jap Congo to pursue rebels with the Allied Democratic Forces, or ADF, affiliated with the Islamic State group and accused of attacking civilians in Uganda and Congo.

Uganda is preventing the rebels with the blessing of Congolese authorities. The assault on the ADF has been described by Uganda as a joint effort with Congo after a collection of bomb blasts within the Ugandan capital that have been blamed on the rebels.

The ADF opposes the rule of Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni, a U.S. safety ally who has been in energy since 1986. Established within the early Nineteen Nineties in Uganda, the ADF later was compelled to flee into jap Congo, the place many insurgent teams function as a result of Congo’s central authorities has restricted management there.
