Man, 50, who r3ped lady inside mosque sentenced to life imprisonment

A 50-year-old man, Yusuf Bako, who r3ped a younger lady inside a mosque n Bauchi metropolis has been sentenced to life imprisonment by the Bauchi State Excessive Courtroom.

Bako was earlier arrested in 2020.

He was accused of r3ping an unidentified four-year-old lady contained in the mosque throughout the COVID-19 lockdown.

It was learnt that he had beforehand been jailed twice for comparable r3pe offenses.

The Director of Public Prosecution, Barrister Sha’awanatu Yusuf, who confirmed the conviction to journalists on Wednesday, emphasised the Ministry’s dedication to justice for r3pe victims and the enforcement of the VAPP Regulation within the state.
