Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, on Friday, offered the Workers of Workplace and the Instrument of Workplace to the brand new Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin because the forty third Olubadan.
The governor, who made the presentation on the historical Mapo Corridor in Ibadan, the state capital, mentioned, “By the ability conferred upon me because the Governor by sub-sections (1) and (2) of Part 20 of the Chiefs Regulation Cap 28 Vol.1 Legal guidelines of Oyo State of Nigeria, 2000, I hereby current the Instrument/Workers of Workplace, which symbolises your authority because the Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin.”
The PUNCH reviews that the seat turned vacant after the demise of the forty second Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Lekan Balogun, who joined his forefathers on the age of 81 after ruling for 2 years.
