The Lagos Rail Mass Transit (LRMT) mentioned it is going to, from Monday, August 12, 2024, introduce a 25 p.c fare low cost for commuters travelling throughout the off-peak interval, between 10.00 am and 4.00 pm every day, on Blue Line.

The state may even upscale the variety of journeys on the Blue Line from 54 to 72 per day whereas the present schedule for Sunday operations stays unchanged.

Abimbola Akinajo, managing director of Lagos Metropolitan Space Transport Authority (LAMATA), disclosed on the weekend that Blue Line practice riders will now journey between Marina and Mile 12 in nearly 18 minutes from the earlier journey time of 25 minutes.

In line with her, there could be a practice each 18 minutes each methods, thus permitting commuters to plan their journeys.

“The brand new practice schedule is probably anticipated to cut back journey instances, encourage extra riders to make use of the practice system throughout off-peak intervals and scale back transport spending. The brand new timetables can be found on the LAMATA web site, stations and our social media handles,” she mentioned.

The Blue Line commenced passenger operation on 4th September 2023 and has moved near 2 million passengers.
