Lagos: Police arrest two over cult conflict, get well firearms

Operatives of the police command in Lagos State have arrested two suspected cultists, Hammed Olawale, 20, and Japhet Oderinde, 23, within the Igando space of the state.

The command’s spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the arrest in a press release he posted on his verified X deal with @benHundeyin on Sunday.

He stated the suspects had been arrested following a misery name.

“The suspects had been arrested by officers from Igando after responding to a misery name that two rival cult teams had gone on rampage.

“The 2 suspects had been present in possession of a domestically fabricated semi-automatic pistol with 4 reside rounds of 9mm ammunition,” he stated.

Mr Hundeyin stated a 26-year-old Abeeb Fagbohun was discovered shot and promptly taken to hospital.
