Labour Celebration’s Candidate Defeats 16 Years Member Of Home Of Representatives In Kaduna

Ekene Adams Abubakar, the Labour Celebration candidate for the Home of Representatives, has scored a shocking victory/

He defeated the 16 years member of the Inexperienced Chamber representing Chikun/Kajuru Federal Constituency, Yakubu Barde within the final Saturday’s election in Kaduna State.

Yakubu Barde has been a member of the Home of Representatives, representing Chikun/Kajuru Federal constituency since 2003.

Asserting the leads to Kaduna on Monday, the returning officer, Professor Bashir Abubakar defined that the Labour Celebration candidate defeated the incumbent with 57,725 votes in opposition to the PDP candidate who polled 47,937 votes, whereas APC’s Caino Cafra Boaz got here third with 19,293 votes.

The returning officer said that Ekene, having met the necessities of the regulation, was declared elected.
