The ultimate funeral rites of late Black Stars midfielder Christian Atsu are at the moment ongoing on the forecourt of the State Home in Accra.

Quite a few dignitaries have stormed the venue to pay their final respects to the previous Ghana worldwide.

Large names noticed on the occasion thus far embrace President Nana Akufo-Addo, former President John Dramani Mahama, Assin Central Member of Parliament, Honourable Kennedy Agyapong, Ayawaso West Wuogon Member of Parliament, Lydia Alhassan and Honourable Kofi Adams, Member of Parliament for Buem.

Different former Black Star gamers on the venue embrace Sulley Ali Muntari, John Painstil, Prince Tagoe, Samuel Osei Kuffour aka Tugah, Black Stars coach Chris Hughton, Michael Essien’s spouse Akosua Puni, Togolese footballer Emmanuel Adebayor Sheyi and lots of others.

Atsu died within the earthquakes that struck Turkey and Syria firstly of February 2023.

He went lacking on February sixth, solely being discovered lifeless two weeks later.

He left behind a spouse and three children, who’re at the moment in Ghana for his last funeral rites.
