The Federal Authorities has inaugurated a 17-man Inter-Ministerial Committee for the 2024 Democracy Day Celebration.

The Committee headed by the Secretary to the Authorities of the Federation, George Akume, is charged with the duty of organising a memorable and befitting Democracy Day celebration.

Members of the committee are Minister of Data and Nationwide Orientation, Mohammed Idris; Minister of Inside, Dr Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo; Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economic system, Wale Edun; Minister of Finances and Financial Planning, Sen. Abubakar Bagudu; Honourable Minister of International Affairs, Yusuf Tuggar; Honourable Minister of FCT, Barr. Nyesom Wike.

The Committee additionally consists of the Particular Adviser to the President on Coverage and Coordination; Hadiza Bala-Usman; Particular Adviser to the President on Data and Technique, Bayo Onanuga; Inspector-Common of Police, Kayode Egbetokun; Director-Common, Division of State Providers, Yusuf Magaji Bichi; Commander, Guards Brigade, Colonel Adebisi Onasanya; Everlasting Secretary, Common Providers Workplace, Dr Nnamdi Maurice Mbaeri; Everlasting Secretary, Ministry of Well being, Kachollom Daju and Everlasting Secretary, Cupboard Affairs Workplace, Richard Pheelangwa because the Secretary.

This was contained in an announcement on Wednesday by the Director of Data, OSGF, Segun Imohiosen.

In response to the assertion, Akume whereas inaugurating the Committee in his workplace emphasised the significance of the commemoration of Democracy Day.

He mentioned, “I’m delighted to welcome you to the inauguration Ceremony of the 2024 Democracy Day Anniversary Inter-Ministerial Committee. Women and Gents, the celebration of the 2024 Democracy Day Anniversary gives a possibility to replicate on the contributions and sacrifices of our nationwide heroes and heroines who fought for the entrenchment of democratic rule within the nation.

“The proposed actions lined up for the 2024 Democracy Day celebration are viz. World Press Briefing on Thursday, sixth, June 2024; Juma’at Service on Friday, seventh, June 2024; Church Service on Sunday ninth, June 2024; Symposium/Public Lecture on Monday, tenth, June 2024 and the Presidential Broadcast alongside Parade on Wednesday, twelfth June 2024,” the assertion added.
