Nollywood actor, Saidi Balogun, and his colleague cum ex-wife, Faithia Williams, have sparked fresh curiosity among fans following their affectionate exchange on social media.
Naija News recalls that the pair were married for several years, a union that produced two children, a son and a daughter, before they officially parted ways in 2014.
Faithia, despite their separation, continued using the Balogun surname until 2017, when she reverted to her maiden name.
However, the former spouses marked their shared birthday on Thursday with a public exchange of warm wishes on Instagram.
Reacting to Saidi’s birthday post via the comment section, Faithia wrote, “Happy birthday daddy Khalid, my Efunroye king”.
Saidi promptly replied, affectionately addressing Faithia as his “queen” and adding, “Happy birthday to us”.
While the affection exchange got some fans talking, it remains unclear if the sentiments signal a romantic reconciliation or reflect the strong, amicable relationship they have maintained since their divorce.
Both actors have long been established as leading figures, particularly within the Yoruba-language sector of Nollywood.
In other news, Saidi Balogun recently recounted the challenges and losses that broke him.
Naija News reports that the movie star made this known in a post via his Instagram page on Wednesday, alongside a photo of himself with a hand injury.
Saidi said losing his daughter was the worst challenge that broke him in pieces beyond human comprehension.
