The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has instructed candidates seeking university admission this year to re-upload their 2025 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WAEC SSCE) results.
The announcement came after JAMB confirmed that all previously uploaded O’level results had been cleared from its system.
The decision, according to the Board, was taken to ensure that only the official WAEC final results are used for admission processing and to prevent errors linked to incomplete uploads.
In its weekly bulletin released on Monday, JAMB explained that many candidates who registered for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) with “awaiting results” had rushed to upload partial WAEC records before the final release of the results.
This, the Board noted, created inconsistencies that could affect fair admission processing.
To correct this, JAMB has made it compulsory for all candidates whether or not their results have changed to go back to accredited centres and upload their complete WAEC results afresh.
The Board further stressed that re-uploading is not optional, as candidates who fail to update their records may be disqualified from admission consideration.
“Every UTME candidate is expected to urgently re-upload their 2025 SSCE results through accredited centres to remain eligible for admission this year,” JAMB stated.
With universities and other tertiary institutions preparing for admission exercises, the Board urged candidates to treat the directive as a matter of urgency.
