Marco Bezzecchi produced a flawless performance on a demanding Algarve International Circuit to claim victory in the Portuguese MotoGP on Sunday.

Starting from pole position, the 26-year-old Italian Grand Prix motorcycle racer led from start to finish in the 25-lap race, finishing 2.583 seconds ahead of Alex Marquez (Ducati-Gresini), with Pedro Acosta (KTM) completing the podium.

After a chaotic opening lap that saw Franco Morbidelli slide off the track, Bezzecchi quickly seized control and never looked back, maintaining a consistent pace that kept Marquez and Acosta at bay.

Marquez recovered from a difficult qualifying session to record his 12th podium of the season. At the same time, 21-year-old Acosta, runner-up in Saturday’s sprint, closed the gap late on to finish just half a second behind.

“I’m very happy, it was a fantastic race for me,” Bezzecchi said. “I was super afraid of Pedro and Alex, but motivated to get the win. Yesterday evening, we worked hard to find that little extra to catch them, and today it paid off.”

The victory marked Bezzecchi’s second of the season and fifth in MotoGP, elevating him to third in the championship standings behind Marc Marquez, who had already sealed his seventh world title, and Alex Marquez, who sits second.

Marc Marquez missed the race following surgery for a fracture sustained during a crash at the Indonesian Grand Prix on October 5, but his title was already secured.
