Indie writer Shoreline Video games launches to place ‘systems-based’ video games on the map

Indie writer Shoreline Video games has damaged cowl and already has a number of video games lined up for launch subsequent 12 months.

Shoreline Video games consists of alumni from studios corresponding to Good World Leisure, Unknown Worlds, and Devolver Digital, together with media corporations like Crunchyroll and Rakutan Viji.

Per CEO and co-founder Keith Kawamura, Shoreline’s particular bent is video games which can be “systems-based” with a “very clear narrative throughline.”

Kawamura stated Shoreline needs to provide smaller titles “the visibility wanted to chop by way of all of the noise” in an more and more saturated market. “I like telling tales, and I need [us] and the video games [we] work with to be the extension of that with a transparent path to enjoyment,” he added.

A neighborhood focus at Shoreline

Fellow co-founder Jenny Zha touted her and Kawamura’s shared expertise “nurturing communities and fandoms wherever they’re.”

“We determine with video games as a result of we see a mirrored image of our id therein, and we wish to pull [that] into the highlight for every of those video games and communities we’re working with,” she continued.

Shoreline will launch three video games in 2025, the primary of which is Nova Hearts from Othercide creator Lightbulb Crew. Zeltglas’ Sanatorium will launch within the second quarter, adopted by Onirism from CrimsonTales early within the third quarter.
