Aug. 24 (UPI) — Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi introduced Saturday the households of the 27 Indian residents who died in a vacationer bus crash in Nepal will obtain money compensation of round $2,300 every.
Money help of $600 might be supplied to the 16 others who had been injured in Friday’s accident, the prime minister’s workplace stated in a social media submit.
Modi earlier despatched his condolences to the victims, saying, “Saddened by the lack of lives because of a street mishap in Tanahun district, Nepal. Condolences to the bereaved households. Could the injured get better on the earliest. The Indian Embassy is offering all potential help to these affected.”
Officers stated the bus was carrying largely Indian non secular pilgrims from Pokhara, Nepal, in the direction of Kathmandu when it plunged 650 ft into the Marsyangdi River on Friday.
