IGP mandates vehicular restriction on election day in 26 states

Kayode Egbetokun, Inspector Common of Police (IGP) has directed a restriction of vehicular motion from 12 a.m. to six p.m. on Saturday, February 3, 2024, in 26 states holding run-off and bye-elections.

The choice, aimed toward sustaining safety, excludes important companies reminiscent of Unbiased Nationwide Election Fee (INEC) officers, accredited media, and emergency responders, as outlined in an announcement launched by Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the Power Public Relations Officer at Power Headquarters in Abuja.
