The Managing Director of GIHOC Distilleries, Maxwell Kofi Jumah, has threatened to sack any of his staff who be part of the nationwide strike by Organized Labour towards Galamsey.
Talking in a current interview, Mr Jumah disclosed that the strike by Organized Labour has no bearing on GIHOC staff. He added that they don’t have any enterprise occurring strike as the problem on being protested on doesn’t have an effect on them.
In the meantime, Organised Labour has determined to embark on a nationwide strike scheduled for Thursday, October 10, 2024.
The group expressed dissatisfaction with President Akufo-Addo’s response to their calls for, concerning unlawful mining, in any other case often known as Galamsey and its results on the residents and the varied water our bodies in Ghana.
