Afrigather APC presidential candidate Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has opened up on how he led the marketing campaign to get President Muhammadu Buhari to push again the deadline for the alternate of the previous naira notes.
Talking in Benin Metropolis when he visited the Oba of Benin, Oba Ewuare II, Tinubu identified that he was particularly involved to push again the deadline as a result of “a few of our cousins, our wives promoting backyard eggs, carrots, roasted corn” want the Naira.
Whereas commending President Muhammadu Buhari for giving approval to the Central Financial institution of Nigeria (CBN) for the extension of the swap from previous naira notes to the brand new ones he mentioned that it was the foyer for the extension that delayed his arrival on the palace.
He mentioned: “My coming late is just not intentional, it’s due to the nationwide politics.
“A few of our cousins, our wives promoting backyard eggs, carrots, roasted corn, they want cash they usually want Naira.
