The mom of a Kansas girl discovered lifeless in a chest freezer buried in an Oklahoma cow pasture filed a wrongful demise lawsuit towards the 5 folks charged in her homicide, who embrace the grandmother of her daughters’ youngsters.
Amanda Verner filed the 32-page lawsuit Monday, almost a 12 months after the our bodies of her daughter, Veronica Butler, and one other girl, Jilian Kelley, have been found.

The go well with alleges that Adams plotted to kill Butler to realize “management” of Butler’s youngsters and enlisted Cullum, Grice and the Twomblys to assist her. The alleged homicide plot stemmed from a bitter custody battle involving Butler and Adams’ son. (The son was at a rehab facility on the time of the murders and has not been charged in reference to the case.)
Butler was awarded full custody of her youngsters in 2021. She misplaced custody the subsequent 12 months after Adams falsely accused a relative of Butler’s of sexually assaulting the youngsters, the lawsuit alleges. Adams can be accused within the lawsuit of falsifying information that helped her son get full custody of the youngsters. Butler was awarded restricted supervised visitation.
“Sooner or later Adams unilaterally took custody of the youngsters from her son,” the go well with says. “Adams then intervened within the custody dispute … in an try to realize management over the youngsters.”
