The Galatasaray forward made the contribution after coming across a distressing video showing the elderly woman, real name Esther Omolola Mensah, crying in pain and pleading for help.

Osimhen’s intervention comes at a challenging moment in his own season. The striker watched helplessly from the sidelines on Tuesday night as Galatasaray fell 1–0 to Union Saint-Gilloise in the Champions League.

Injury kept him out of the match, with his absence clearly felt.

Osimhen has scored six goals in just three Champions League outings, inspiring Galatasaray to back-to-back wins over Liverpool, Bodo/Glimt and Ajax. His cutting edge was missing as the Turkish champions struggled to find fluency against Union SG at RAMS Park.

The Nigerian forward is expected to return to full fitness ahead of Galatasaray’s derby clash against Fenerbahçe on December 1st. Galatasaray lead the standings with 32 points, one ahead of second-place Fenerbahçe.
