Nollywood actor Adeniyi Johnson has been left emotional over his growth as he visits the house where he once worked as a painter. On his Instagram page, the actor shared a throwback photo of himself and others working as a painter in the house. He revealed that he recently went to the same house to shoot and couldn’t control his tears.

Adeniyi said he was there as a slave and now as a king, and everyone wanted a selfie. The Yoruba actor noted that his story has changed, and that today God is glorified.

Some weeks back, Adeniyi had expressed pride in working with veteran, Baba Wande. Calling him his childhood idol, he noted that he had been with Baba Wande several times but never had the chance to be on set together. Hailing him, Adeniyi said the veteran can act and expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to work with him.

Early last year, Adeniyi had called out his colleague, Habeeb Alagbe, over his steamy kiss with Seyi Edun in a movie. He questioned if the actor didn’t know that his wife is married, and questioned when he came into the industry and is already having the audacity to do anything he wants.

In June, the Yoruba actor publicly apologised to his colleagues, friends, and others. He said he chooses peace and apologises to those he has hurt and wronged. He noted that death is coming no matter how old or far, small, or great one is.

In 2024, The African Men Entertainment Kings (AFRIMEK), led by Femi Adebayo, had suspended Johnson indefinitely for gross misconduct and breach of the club’s constitution.

Reacting to the news, Johnson expressed sadness at the derogatory post. He stated that though he wasn’t bigger than the club, there had been Adeniyi Johnson before the club and the post they made about him could cause harm. He noted how such a post was detrimental to his name, his family and most importantly, his brand.
