Pressure CID probes nationwide meeting employees leaders for alleged N500m fraud

Prime officers of the Nationwide Meeting department of the Parliamentary Workers Affiliation of Nigeria have been interrogated by operatives of the Pressure Legal Investigation Division on Wednesday over allegations of economic misappropriation involving about N500m.

Newsmen stories that three high officers of PASAN within the Nationwide Meeting have been invited by the FCID on Wednesday and grilled for a number of hours.

The FCID letters of invitation to every of the officers have been routed via the workplace of the Everlasting Secretary, Human Assets and Workers Improvement of the Nationwide Meeting.

The letters have been individually addressed to the Chairman PASAN, Nationwide Meeting Chapter, Sunday Sabiyi; the Monetary Secretary, Stacy Nwodo and the Treasurer, Samtiya Daniel, inviting them to seem on the Police Division on Wednesday, twenty ninth March 2023.

Their invitation was on the power of a petition collectively written in opposition to them by 9 suspended officers of PASAN, who accused the chief of economic misappropriation.

The Assistant Public Relations Officer of PASAN within the Nationwide Meeting, Mr. Amos, Enobong, confirmed the event in a message titled, “Police Invitation To PASAN Government, Nationwide Meeting Chapter,” and despatched to PASAN members on Thursday.

The message learn, “Revered members, fraternity greetings from the Parliamentary Workers Affiliation of Nigeria.

“The Union needs to carry to your discover that it’s in receipt of letters from the FCID, Abuja through the Everlasting Secretary, Human Assets and Workers Improvement, Nationwide Meeting and individually addressed to the Chairman PASAN, Nationwide Meeting Chapter, Comrade Sunday Sabiyi.”

It added, “Others are, the Monetary Secretary PASAN, Nationwide Meeting Chapter, Comrade Stacy Nwodo, and, the Treasurer, PASAN Nationwide Meeting Chapter, Comrade Samtiya Daniel, inviting them to seem on the Police Division on Wednesday, twenty ninth March 2023.

“This can be a results of a petition filed by a gaggle of 9 suspended PASAN former EXCO (G9) members over what they termed, ‘Monetary Misappropriation’ by Present EXCO of PASAN, to the Pressure CID, Abuja.

“Consequently and promptly, on Wednesday, twenty ninth March 2023 within the morning, the above-named comrades appeared on the police station, Space 10, Abuja.”
