FCTA plans crack down on unlawful avenue naming syndicate

The Federal Capital Territory Administration ( FCTA) stated it’s going to quickly start arrest and prosecution of these concerned in unlawful avenue naming throughout the territory.

Coordinator, Abuja Metropolitan Administration Council (AMMC), Umar Shuaibu disclosed this yesterday, when he briefed journalists in Abuja.

He  stated that the authorized battle between FCTA and the Abuja Municipal Space Council ( AMAC) over avenue naming could be resolved amicably,  with the understanding of all stakeholders. 

Shuaibu stated that the ruling of the FCT Excessive Courtroom on the matter has been appealed, all stakeholders,  together with the AMAC management have agreed to arrange an interagency committee to think about all elements round it.

The coordinator defined that FCTA was not taking on AMAC’s tasks,  however doing what the regulation permits it, as a serious supplier of infrastructure within the Capital Metropolis.
