The Managing Director of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, Mrs Olubunmi Kuku, has assured passengers of a seamless travel experience at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos, despite ongoing rehabilitation works.

She gave the assurance while inspecting the new temporary departure terminal ahead of the planned closure of Terminal One.

The FAAN boss revealed that the 8,000-square-metre temporary departure terminal is over 90 per cent complete and will soon begin operations.

According to her, the facility will initially serve five to six airlines, handle up to 1,500 passengers at peak periods, and provide full check-in, security screening and boarding services.

Kuku stated that the phased rehabilitation and expansion project will improve safety, efficiency and passenger comfort at the airport, while boosting Nigeria’s aviation profile.
