The draw for the FA Cup quarter-final has created an exciting matchup between Premier League rivals Manchester City and Liverpool. West Ham will host Leeds, while Chelsea will face League One side Port Vale at home.

Manchester City. will face Liverpool F.C. in a blockbuster tie in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup, while Chelsea have been handed a home clash against League One side, Port Vale.

Meanwhile, Leeds will take on the winner of Monday night’s fifth-round clash between West Ham United and Brentford. The winner of that tie will host Leeds during the quarter-final weekend scheduled for April 4.

The draw was conducted at the London Stadium ahead of the final fifth-round fixture between West Ham and Brentford, with former England internationals Joe Hart and Joe Cole performing the draw.

Man City, who are also preparing for a Champions League Round of 16 clash with Real Madrid, face a demanding schedule in April after being paired with Liverpool.

Port Vale, currently bottom of EFL League One, produced one of the shocks of the fifth round by defeating Sunderland 1–0. Ben Waine scored the decisive goal in the 28th minute, which proved to be their only shot on target in the match.

Despite the historic victory, Port Vale manager Jon Brady admitted the cup run could add pressure to his squad as they battle relegation.

“It’s a bit of a pain in the bum, to be honest,” Brady said after the win over Sunderland.

“It really is, because what it’s doing for us is adding to our fixture list. As you saw, we lost one of our best centre-halves [Cam Humphreys], and we haven’t got the size of squad to cope with the amount of games at the moment. It’s a privilege, but it’s tough as well.”
