Fulham, Besiktas, and other Spanish clubs are reportedly linked to signing Samuel Chukwueze from AC Milan…

The future of Samuel Chukwueze at AC Milan remains shrouded in uncertainty as the summer transfer window edges towards its final stretch, Soccernet.ng reports.

Despite interest from Fulham and several Spanish clubs, the Super Eagles forward is yet to see a concrete offer materialise.

Milan, who signed the Nigerian winger from Villarreal in the 2023 summer transfer window for around €21 million, are open to his departure but only under the right terms.

Financial demands—no loan bid—coupled with tactical questions under new manager Massimiliano Allegri, have left Chukwueze’s future hanging in the balance.

Will Chukwueze Stay at AC Milan?

Speaking exclusively to Soccernet.ng, Gazzetta dello Sport journalist Marco Guidi shed light on the situation, revealing that no formal offer has yet been tabled.

“At the moment, he stays in Milan because no bid has arrived for him. AC Milan, at the moment, don’t want to sell him on loan, only through a transfer,” Guidi revealed.

The Serie A giants are said to be holding out for a fee in the region of €20–25 million, which has so far discouraged concrete bids.

“The asking price is around €20–25 million, not less. So, for now, he stays at AC Milan,” Guidi added.

While Fulham are exploring the possibility of signing the Super Eagles star, they face stiff competition from clubs in Spain.

However, Chukwueze’s hefty wage demands—reportedly around €4 million net per season—are proving to be a stumbling block.

“There is interest from Fulham and also from some Spanish teams, but the problem is that he earns about €4 million net each season. It’s not so easy to sell a player with that salary, and Milan won’t let him go on loan,” Guidi explained.

Beyond the financial aspects, Chukwueze also faces a tactical challenge at San Siro. Milan boss Massimiliano Allegri is set on sticking with his current system, which may not suit the Nigerian’s style of play.

“That’s the issue, and the other problem is that if Allegri continues with the current tactical model, it won’t be so easy to find a place for Chukwueze,” Guidi concluded.

Chukwueze joined AC Milan from Villarreal in 2023 in a deal worth around €20 million, but he has struggled for consistency in Serie A.

His future at the club remains uncertain with the transfer window edging closer to its conclusion. However, the football world awaits how the transfer saga will play out in the coming days.
