Super Eagles and Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen has been tipped to make all the difference as the Turkish side looks to edge past Liverpool in the UEFA Champions League clash tomorrow, Soccernet.ng reports.

The 27-year-old has been in fine form for Okan Buruk’s side. Given Liverpool’s poor form in the Premier League, the club’s former right-back, Steve Nicol, is unsure the Merseysiders will be able to cope with Osimhen at Anfield.

Osimhen scored from 12 yards when both sides met in September, and found the back of the net last week as well, but his effort was ruled out for offside.

He was instrumental still, setting up Mario Lemina’s seventh-minute goal with a header that saw him leap up to 255 cm high.

Steve Nicol tips Osimhen to shine against Liverpool

The Scottish right-back played over 450 games for the Merseysiders, winning four league titles and four FA Cup titles during his time at Anfield.

However, given the performance of Slot’s men has been poor this season, he doesn’t see how they can overturn a one-goal deficit against Galatasaray tonight, especially with Victor Osimhen leading the lines for the opponent.

“Liverpool have just capitulated against right now the worst in the Premier League,” the 64-year-old said on the ESPN show.

“And they are 1-nil behind Galatasaray, who have a guy upfront in Osimhen, who can win any game on his own with a simple piece of magic and brilliance.

“How Liverpool can be such a big favourite after what we saw at the weekend, I don’t get,” Nicol concluded.
