Ethiopia: Ceasefire Introduced in Ethiopian Civil Battle

The Federal Authorities in Addis Ababa and Tigrayan authorities have agreed on a ceasefire.

“The 2 events within the Ethiopian battle have formally agreed to the cessation of hostilities in addition to the systematic, orderly, clean and coordinated disarmament,” the African Union mediator in peace talks, former president Olusegun Obasanjo of Nigeria, introduced in Pretoria.

Obasanjo was talking at a signing ceremony in South Africa’s capital on November 2, the place  negotiations have been occurring behind closed doorways for the previous week.
