Equatorial Guinea, China announce elevation of ties

Equatorial Guinea president Teodoro Obiang Nguema arrived in Beijing on Monday for a state go to to China. 

After holding talks along with his host Xi Jinping on Tuesday, the 2 leaders introduced the elevation of bilateral ties to a complete strategic partnership of cooperation.

The go to is President Nguema’s eleventh to China. He will even maintain conferences with Chinese language prime minister Li Qiang and Zhao Leji, chairman of Nationwide Individuals’s Congress Standing Committee – China’s parliament.

From Beijing, Nguema will go to Shandong Province, considered one of China’s manufacturing powerhouses.

Oil-rich Equatorial Guinea is eager to diversify its financial system to scale back dependence on hydrocarbons.
