On December 7, 2024, a dramatic incident unfolded within the Obuasi East constituency when an NDC communications officer engaged in a bodily altercation with two troopers who tried to storm a polling station. The confrontation has drawn vital consideration and raised considerations among the many public.
Eyewitnesses reported that the altercation started when the troopers, armed and in uniform, tried to entry the polling station. The NDC communications officer, whose id has not been disclosed, firmly stood his floor, refusing to let the troopers enter. The scenario rapidly escalated right into a heated alternate, with the officer repeatedly commanding the troopers to depart the premises.
Movies of the incident, now circulating on social media, present the officer and troopers locked in a tense standoff, with the officer insisting that the troopers vacate the realm. The troopers, however, demanded that bystanders cease filming the confrontation.
