EFCC Companions UISAPC In Preventing Corruption In Universities

The Ilorin Zonal Commander of the Financial and Monetary Crimes Fee, EFCC Michael Nzekwe, has expressed the resolve of the Command to work with pupil our bodies and related stakeholders in preventing corruption in faculties and campuses within the State.

Life-style Nigeria experiences that Nzekwe, an Assistant Commander of the EFCC disclosed this on Thursday, March 16, 2023, whereas taking part in host to a delegation of College of Ilorin Impartial College students’ Anti-Corrupt Practices Fee, UISAPC, on the Command’s new workplace on No 10, Oko Shut, Station Street, GRA, Ilorin.

The Commander, who expressed delight over the go to stated it was first of such to be hosted by the Command because it moved to its new workplace on Monday, March 13, 2023.

Based on him, “the function of the youths is prime to profitable the struggle in opposition to corruption as the way forward for the nation lies of their palms”.

Nzekwe described the go to as “distinctive and well timed” including that, “it’s an engagement which falls below Goal 4 of the EFCC Strategic Plan 2021 -2025, that requires the Fee to collaborate with stakeholders within the struggle in opposition to corruption”. He urged the scholars, as leaders of tomorrow to be good ambassadors of their house and their nation by striving to be above board in character and conduct always.

He assured the delegation that the Command would render all help permissible by regulation for them to understand their set objectives noting that, “the duty of preventing corruption is one which requires collaborative efforts.”



Earlier, Chairman, Unilorin Impartial Anti-Corrupt Practices Fee, UISAPC, Bagbansora Fahd Taiwo, whereas commending the EFCC and the great works of the Command, expressed the readiness of his members to lend help to the Command in mobilizing college students in opposition to cybercrime and different types of corruption in tertiary establishments within the State.

“The UISAPC is duly registered with the Authorities of the College of Ilorin and we have now our members lower throughout all schools within the college. Due to this fact, I promise you of our strong help and cooperation in your efforts to struggle corruption and different associated vices”, Taiwo assured.
