South Africa is ready to deploy a contingent of two,900 troopers to the Democratic Republic of Congo to help within the fights towards armed insurgent teams within the east.
In a press release on Monday, South Africa’s President Cyril Ramaphosa mentioned the deployment is anticipated to price R2 billion ($105m; £83m) and can final till December this yr.
Malawi and Tanzania may also contribute troops to the mission, which is changing the East African regional force which left the DRC final December after the Congolese authorities deemed it ineffective.
