Dolphin, beluga whale born amid SeaWorld San Antonio ‘child growth’

July 12 (UPI) — SeaWorld San Antonio continued its summer time “child growth” when a Pacific white-sided dolphin and a beluga whale have been born simply two days aside.

The Texas attraction mentioned Piquet, a 36-year-old white-sided dolphin, gave delivery June 26 to a 20-inch-long feminine calf weighing roughly 20 kilos.

Luna, a 24-year-old beluga whale, gave delivery simply two days later to a 4-foot-long male calf weighing about 130 kilos.

“Each calves and moms are wholesome and below the watchful eyes of animal care specialists and the park’s veterinary employees as these new additions proceed to nurse, bond with mother and work towards hitting regular progress milestones,” SeaWorld mentioned within the delivery announcement.

The births are the most recent in SeaWorld San Antonio’s summer time “child growth,” which earlier noticed the arrival of a noticed harbor seal, a California sea lion and an endangered radiated tortoise.
