More than half of voting fans chose Eddie Hearn instead of Dana White in a battle of the combat sports promoters.
The two have been going back and forth in recent weeks, as their feud continues to develop ever since White’s Zuffa Boxing was launched at the start of 2026.
With the UFC established as the MMA leader, White has vowed to change the face of boxing, a plan Hearn has laughed off having been among the top figures in that sport for years.
But who has the edge as a promoter? Well, the fans have spoken, and it’s bad news for the American.

Who wins in a fight? Dana White or Eddie Hearn
Dana White has claimed to be open to a boxing match with Eddie Hearn: Who do you think would win if they met in the ring?

Eddie Hearn beats Dana White by 4% in vote to decide the ‘best promoter’
MMA fans have been voting in a poll as part of TalkingPoints on Bloody Elbow. Over a thousand users responded when asked to choose the top promoter in combat sports.
White and Hearn were the individuals included in the vote, and fans also had the opportunity to vote for a ‘someone else’ category.
In total, 1,122 readers submitted their votes, and the Matchroom Boxing chairman emerged victorious by a narrow margin. He took home just over 50 percent of the votes to claim victory, while the UFC’s White collected 46 percent of the share.
40 fans snubbed both men, evidently seeing another promoter as the combat sports leader.
| Promoter | Percentage of Bloody Elbow fan vote |
| Eddie Hearn | 50.45% (566 votes) |
| Dana White | 45.99% (516 votes) |
| Someone else | 3.57% (40 votes) |
Some TalkingPoints users also explained their picks.
“I think Dana’s a better businessman and pioneer, but Eddie is the better single event promoter. Or, I’ll say, Dana is great at promoting the UFC but doesn’t care at all about promoting the individual fighters,” barnstormlance wrote.
“Hearn is all about himself and bets under the table… Dana will provide a home for boxers to train at with stability,” mjs070378 commented.
“Eddie Hearn. Dana is always getting snagged off for poor fight cards and the way he treats his fighters. It’s not just sorting out fights, it’s all-round promoting,” said neilbarker692.

Do the Bloody Elbow staff see Dana White or Eddie Hearn as the top promoter?
The Bloody Elbow team also joined in on the discussion and shared similar sentiments about what separates the two prominent promoters.
White was described as the stronger of the two when it comes to promoting himself and his brand, while they mostly gave the edge to Hearn when it comes to promoting the actual fighters.
Jordan Ellis: “Dana promotes himself and the UFC. Eddie really gets behind his fights. I prefer his style.”
Kyle Dimond: “Dana overall, maybe a different argument in recent times. Eddie has done big things but he was born into it.”
Jamie Theodosi: “I feel like how Dana has built the UFC puts him ahead. Boxing promoters have it pretty easy…”
Donagh Corby: “Dana completely took over a sport, albeit with limited competition and seemingly unlimited resources. Eddie in a competitive, regulated sport seems to do a better job.”
Harvey Leonard: “In terms of impact on a sport it’s Dana. But in terms of their style, Hearn seems to do more for his fighters. Dana is all about the UFC brand and his own interests.”
