Baby labour uncovered as NSCDC uncovers pillows made with used diapers, pads

In a disturbing case of client deception, kids have been utilized by 9 people to gather used diapers and sanitary pads that they allegedly utilized in making the pillows they bought.

The Nigeria Safety and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) made the arrests on Wednesday following an intelligence report and the next investigation.

State Commandant Bello Alkali Argungun revealed the operation on the NSCDC headquarters, describing how the arrested people employed kids to gather the unsanitary supplies, which have been then used to fill pillowcases bearing logos of respected foam firms earlier than being bought to unsuspecting clients.

“This observe poses a severe well being danger to customers,” Argungun emphasised. “They may contract numerous illnesses with out even figuring out the trigger.” He urged residents to train warning and patronize legit companies.

Investigations are ongoing, and the 9 suspects are anticipated to face courtroom expenses upon completion. The  pillows highlights the significance of client vigilance and underscores the potential risks related to counterfeit or unhygienic items.
