Chelsea want Moises Caicedo to sign a new contract, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The well-known and well-respected Italian journalist has reported that Chelsea, who won the Conference League last season and the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup in the summer of 2025, have been very impressed with Caicedo and want to reward him with a new deal.

Romano said on his YouTube channel: “Moises Caicedo is fully focused on Chelsea.

“I maintain what I said in the summer: Chelsea wants to discuss a new contract with him.

“He’s already on a big salary, but his face remains a crucial part of the project.

“So I see Chelsea maintaining these conversations with Moises and his new representatives, but for sure the focus is on a new deal for him at Chelsea.”

Caicedo joined Chelsea from Brighton and Hove Albion in the summer of 2023 for £115 million. The 23-year-old midfielder is under contract at the London club until the summer of 2031, with Chelsea having the option to extend it by another year.
