Chatpichit targets Tubtimthong knockout at ONE Friday Fights 144: “If he leaves an opening, I’m ending it”

Chatpichit Sor Sor Toipadriew has spent years grinding through the ONE Friday Fights circuit. Now, for the first time, he gets to do it from the top of the card.

The 26-year-old Thai atomweight meets fellow compatriot Tubtimthong IngfahhotelUbon in the main event of ONE Friday Fights 144 on February 27 live in Asia primetime from Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

Riding a two-fight winning streak, Chatpichit enters with momentum and a clear read on his opponent. Tubtimthong started his ONE tenure with a burst — three wins in three fights, two of them first-round knockouts — before dropping his last three bouts in a row. Chatpichit sees that skid as a factor that extends beyond the physical.

“Tubtimthong is a tough one. He’s sharp, and his hands are lethal. But he’s had a rough patch lately, losing three in a row. I think that’s got to be weighing on him mentally. When you’re down like that, it’s hard to perform at your best,” Chatpichit said.

Chatpichit explains his plan to secure the finish

With over 80 career bouts behind him, Chatpichit believes he is entering his physical and technical prime. His signature weapon has always been his elbows, and his recent performances show a fighter who has added precision and patience to go alongside that natural aggression.

In his last outing at ONE Friday Fights 136, he outworked the larger Har Ling Om across three rounds to earn a unanimous decision — a display of fight IQ as much as firepower.

Against Tubtimthong, he plans to be more direct. He has identified physical vulnerabilities and intends to exploit them from the opening bell. A win would mark his 63rd career victory and push him one step closer to the ONE Championship main-roster contract he is chasing — and beyond that, a potential future showdown with ONE Atomweight Muay Thai World Champion Nadaka.

“From what I’ve seen, Tubtimthong struggles when you target the body and the face — he doesn’t seem to take those shots well. If he leaves an opening, I’m ending it right there. Expect a knockdown or a knockout for sure. And as always, I’ve got my elbows ready to close the show whenever I see the chance,” Chatpichit said.

“I’m planning to bring the heat from the very first round. I think I’m ahead of him both physically and mentally. If I can push the pace and drain his gas tank early, there’s a huge chance I’ll find that KO. My main goal this year is to secure a ONE contract as soon as possible. That’s why every fight has to be my best.”
