Cape cobra noticed on Hout Bay seaside – PICTURE

A Cape cobra, estimated to be round 1.8 metres in size, was noticed on Hout Bay seaside in Cape City on Sunday.

A video posted on the The Atlantic Seaboard Neighborhood Discussion board Fb group exhibits onlookers throwing sand and stones on the snake in an try to encourage it off the seaside.

Scientific psychologist Jeffrey Rink took footage of the snake which later went viral on social media.

“Strolling on Hout Bay Seaside this previous Sunday… Got here throughout this Cape Cobra. Ensured its security, and that of seaside walkers and canine.

“Finally managed to ‘herd’ it to security on the grassed dunes about 100 metres away. Fairly a privileged sighting. My wilderness abilities being helpful right here so near dwelling,” Rink added.
