Rumuolumeni, Rivers state – On Tuesday evening, April 23, Inspector Sunday Baba, a courageous police officer serving at Rumuolumeni in Rivers state, was killed whereas on obligation.
TheTalk.NG reviews that the knowledge was shared on Wednesday evening, April 24, by Tunji Disu, the commissioner of police (CP) within the oil-rich state.

Though the perpetrators fled, their car was reportedly recovered.
Disu wrote on his verified X (previously Twitter) deal with:
“Yesterday evening (Tuesday, April 23), Inspector Sunday Baba, a courageous police officer serving at Rumuolumeni in Rivers state, made the last word sacrifice whereas on obligation.
“Although the perpetrators fled, we recovered their car. Tragically, the officer’s cellphone revealed 59 missed calls, 51 of which had been from his spouse. We bore the heavy burden of delivering the heart-wrenching information to her.
“Being a police officer means leaving dwelling in good well being, by no means sure of returning alive. Those that take the lives of cops are murdering those that stand because the guardians of the individuals. Let’s honour the sacrifices of our officers, could their sacrifice not be in useless. Goodbye, Sunday.”
