This was disclosed in an announcement by the Secretary of Nigeria Wrestling Federation Mohammed Maigidansanma.

Maigidansanma stated the late Jerry was in the identical boat with different Nigerian wrestlers when the incident occurred.

He stated the accident occurred once they have been on their method from a group often called Peremabiri after a conventional wrestling match.

A part of the assertion reads, “The Nigeria Wrestling Federation mourns the passing away of a younger Wrestler John Jerry who was from Akwa Ibom state.

“The Federation with tears mourns the accident which occurred round Onyoma/Oporoma of Southern Ijaw Native Authorities Space, Bayelsa State.

“We pray almighty God to grant his household the fortitude to bear the loss.”
