According to a report by Vanguard on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, President Bola Tinubu has ordered top security officials to relocate to Maiduguri, the capital of Borno State, in response to the recent terror attacks that have shaken the city.

The directive was issued to ensure that security chiefs take direct charge of operations and coordinate efforts to neutralize terrorist threats, safeguard lives, and restore peace in the region.
