BREAKING: Ex-CGS Oladipo Diya dies at 79

Lt. Normal Oladipo Diya, former Chief of Normal Employees below the late Head  of State, Normal Sani Abacha, is lifeless.

His demise was introduced in an announcement by his son, Prince Oyesinmilola Diya, on Sunday morning.

It learn, “On behalf of the whole Diya household house and overseas; we announce the passing on to glory of our expensive husband, father, grandfather, brother, Lt-Normal Donaldson Oladipo Oyeyinka Diya (rtd) GCON, LLB, BL, PSC, FSS, mni.

“Our expensive Daddy handed onto glory within the early hours of twenty sixth March 2023. Please hold us in your prayers as we mourn his demise on this interval. Additional bulletins can be made public sooner or later.”

The previous Chief of Normal Employees was born on April 3, 1944 at Odogbolu in Ogun State.

Diya joined the Nigerian Defence Academy, Kaduna and fought throughout the Nigerian Civil Conflict.

He was appointed Chief of Normal Employees in 1993 and Vice Chairman of the Provisional Ruling Council in 1994. As Chief of the Normal Employees, he was second in command and the de facto vice chairman of Nigeria below Abacha from 1994.

Diya misplaced his spouse, Folashade, in Could of 2020.
